Hi John I am a young full denture wearer and got my dentures dec 2005 when being 18. I had a genetic defect and discussed a lot around getting dentures with my dentist who was extremely kind and competent. He told me about the case with loose teeth when taking impressions and said that if some teeth were pulled because of the impression material sticked to hard to the lose teeth to withstand the force it did not matter at all. <the teeth were to be extracted anyhow and it does not matter if they were pulled by impression material or a wrench or whatever the name is on the tool. I cannot understand at all that you need go without teeth at all. There must be a heavy case of infection or other issues that must be present if immediates are not to be used. In any case losing your teeth is not a catastrophy and far better than bad painful and loose teeth. You will go through a discomfort periode and after that it is alright I am a very very happy denture wearer and would not go back to my normal teeth now as I have no problems and even forget about them during the day. They are even easier to keep klean and look gorgeous so there are advantages also, smile. Just go to another dentist and I am sure he or she will provide you with immediates and see no problem with loose teeth sticking to the impression material if that should be the case.
