I am sorry your husband is having a hard time going about this procedure. I wear full upper and lower dentures and had them inserted the same day as my teeth were extracted. I am not sure why he must go so long without a denture. Many practices insert implants but have them covered with gum tissue and not active in retaining the denture right away until they have had a chance to integrate into the bone. Could he be mistaken about the procedure? Maybe you need to speak with the dentist and get an outline of what is to be done and a time line for it. Best wishes, Barbara
