Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?

Periodontal Disease and cosmetic dentistry

I have periodontal disease. I am taking good care of the situation by going to my regular dentist alternately with my periodontist every 3 months. I have a few "long" teeth with large gaps between due to one flap surgery treatment. The good news is that my lips cover the gap when speaking. But I am very self conscious of these gaps. My dentist says that bonding or veneers won't work. Are there other options that I could investigate?
