I've had 2 implants and both times the only painful part was the numbing shots. I started laughing when the doctor started screwing the first screw in -- the tool he used sounded exactly like a mechanic's ratchet. He would make a turn with the tool and then it would make that clicky ratchet sound as if he was working on a car engine. It just cracked me up.
