Thank you for this post. Just today I went to a specialist my dentist referred me too regarding a large space between two upper molars. I thought we'd be talking about surgery, maybe an implant. Instead after extensive exrays he shows me the severity of gum disease and that getting an upper denture is a best solution. In the long run it would save me time, money, pain, and chasing a solution that will never happen. Some day I will thank him for his honesty. But tonight, psychologically I'm still reeling from this sudden news and the thought of losing the image in the mirror I've had since childhood (I'm 52). Thank you for a glimmer of hope.
