The price of $2250 is for the surgery, post & porcelain crown. Question, the dentist who did my other implant took a panoramic X-ray because he said he needed that to tell me if I could get one or not. I heard him telling the receptionist to not charge me for it because I'd brought in my own X-rays. The ones I have I must return to the mean old dentist who pulled my tooth; he said I could BORROW them. The dentist before him only gave me a copy on a piece of typing paper, the other dentist said he couldn't read that & took the full set I'm borrowing.

I would like to get another opinion, I have some time. I hate to ask for the panoramic X-ray that was taken yesterday after I already scheduled an appointment for in July; however, I don't like how my X-rays seem to belong to the dentists. I don't want to get another X-ray because too much is not good for anyone. I worry already knowing I will have to have more through the process of getting the implant. I mentioned before I've already had cancer & it scares me having so many Xrays. I know the other place in Huntington Beach, & even another place I called want to look at panoramic Xrays to determine if someone can get one or not.

I wasn't embarrassed to ask to borrow the Xrays from the dentist that pulled my tooth, but I am embarrassed to ask for the panoramic ones done yesterday. I don't want him to think I'm not confident with him because I am after his excellent job with the other. I think patients should be given copies of the Xrays by law with no questions or explanations asked, especially due to the fact people shouldn't have too many Xrays if not absolutely necessary.
