As difficult as it sounds, I don't think your daughter is the only one with that type of challenge.

In the years I've visited this website, I've read about several similar cases.

One in particular stands out in my mind, and though I'm sure I've saved several messages from the writer, so far, I've been unable to find them on my computer this morning.

If I remember correctly, the writer was a woman who lived in Ohio, Iowa, or at least in that part of the country, but who traveled to the East Coast for treatment.

Both she and her daughter were born with the same congenital problem, which in their case affected the structure of their facial bones, which in turn affected the development of their teeth.

While your daughter's problem sounds like a different one sometimes discussed in this forum, it also sounds like what they have in common is s the inability for the jawbone to support natural or prosthetic teeth.

With respect to the woman who reported her problem, two things stand out in my memory: (1) The amazing difference in the "before" and "after" photos she posted, and the fact that her username was something like "doxie" (a reference to her love of dachshunds).

The clinic that changed literally changed her life was located on the East Coast, with a name I think may have started with the letter "P."

The result of her treatment was so successful that she not only shared her experience openly and responded to anyone who contacted her, but allowed herself to be featured on the clinic's website.

Although I haven't noticed messages from her recently, I think she still does visit this forum occasionally, and if so, is sure to respond to your question.

Since this website has moved to a new hosting site in the last few years, I'm not sure if Chris (who started and still hosts this amazing forum) still has that information archived, but hopefully one oif them will be able to provide more information.
