Hi, Anne . . . Since no one else has responded to your question yet, I'll hazard a guess. I have 4 (not 6) crowns on my front teeth, including one on an implant, for which construction is a little different. They were placed almost 11 years ago, so I don't remember exactly how long it took the lab to deliver them, but believe it was 7-10 days — so to me, 5-6 weeks sounds like an unusually long wait. Do you know if your dentist ordered them from a local lab — or from one outside the country (which I've heard some dentists do)? If so,the the savings in cost (to him/her or you) might not be worth it.
