Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?
Posted by Pat on 6/1/2012, 6:35 pm, in reply to "immediate denture"
I am in my second day with an immediate full upper denture. I guess I'm lucky because my pain has been very little considering I had all my upper teeth pulled 2 days ago. The hardest thing I am finding is how bulky the plate feels on my upper palate. Sometimes it almost makes me gag so I think it may be a but too long. I plan to call the dentist on Monday to see if it can be cut back a little. First I was told I would have this temporary one for 6-12 weeks while my gums heal. Today the dentist said it could be as long as 6 months to a year before I get the permanent plate. So make sure your immediate temporary plate is comfortable as you may have it for a while.
