Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?

Patti,
I had a similar experience in that my temporary
dentures fit so well and looked so good that my
dentist modified them by adding a reinforcement
bar and the implant attachments so I can use them
as well as the permanent ones if I choose. I actually wear the modified temporary now rather than the new permanent most of the time. Maybe you
could ask your dentist if he could do this for you.
In regards to your bite, the mouth is very sensitive to small changes in the way things feel,
initially being uncomfortable with any change, but
adapting well over time. That's not to say you
shouldn't keep working to get the best fitting
bite possible, but be aware that over time you'll
feel less issues with the new ones. Most dentists,
rightfully, only make small adjustments to the bite at any one time so as to give the patient
time to assess the change.
Good luck with the new over-dentures....I hope
you end up as pleased with them as I am with mine.
