Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?

I don't have veneers, so can't help you with that. But have you called your dentist's office? Even if s/he has taken the week off, most physicians and dentists arrange for their patients' emergency care while they are away.(e.g., Imagine what you would do if you had broken a tooth!! . . . No dentist would expect you to wait until s/he returned from a vacation.)
All you really need to do is find out if treatment can wait until the office re-opens, and/or if there is anything you should be doing in the meantime.
Also, I've heard (and read) about products available over-the-counter at neighborhood drugstores that can be used temporarily to reattach dental crowns that have popped off. If you can find one of those products close to home, you could always read the directions for usage to see if veneers are mentioned.
But before applying anything like that, I would be sure it definitely is meant for temporary use.
