Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?
Posted by Jackie on 7/13/2012, 12:42 pm
I need a bridge to replace a missing molar. I have a molar with a filling on one side of where the bridge would be placed, and a healthy molar on the other side. My dentist recommends placing a crown only on the tooth with the filling, and placing a cantilever on top of the tooth on the other side, in order to avoid drilling down a healthy tooth to place a crown on it. Is there any disadvantage to this procedure, or would you recommend crowns on both sides of the bridge?
