Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?

Please help me...it's really upsetting me

I have a cap on my front teeth... My teeth was turning bit black... you could hardly see it. It use to come in pictures only.

I went to dentist to show my teeth and she took an x-ray...she told me that my teeth was infected and I needed root canal and a cap on it.

She told me it was serious because it would affect my gums... I got worried and did the treatment

but now i regret... I feel I should have double checked with other dentist...somehow i feel that dentist lied to me...i never had a toothache...and my teeth was in good shape apart from that color...

the thing that worries me is what if my cap falls...even though she said it won't fall...it's permanent cap but it remains in my mind all the time

guys please tell me if i took a wise decision... it is really upsetting me a lot... i always think i can't bite with this teeth as she asked me to avoid it coz of being the front teeth...
