What did your new dentist and orthodontist have to say about ypur problem . . . and even more important, what did they suggest regarding treatment? Although I'm just a fellow patient (i.e., not a dental professional), it's hard for me to understand why prepping your teeth would cause your entire jawbone to reposition itself. But regardless of that, my best suggestion is that when contacting future dentists you might have better luck with a maxillofacial surgeon.
