all these things about 7/8s rules and black dogs and other things have got me to finally post. alot of folks dont use nkc as their registry and use aba. if you use aba this black dog and 7/8ths thing is moot as you cant register them with aba so they arent in the gene pool alot of us use. i have kershner in my dogs so lord knows how much infusion was done there as i wonder if kershner even knows anymore. much less what was used to make these dogs before kershner got ahold of em. i can see the colored dog thing personally but to get it by addin new blood today i dont agree with. i guess i see it as we have a supposed pure breed of dogs and they are registered as such. so why do we need to add dogs of unpapered pedigrees and or outside blood today.if anyone has the answer of well its to make better bulldogs. my reply to that is.. fine make better bulldogs just dont register them. to see a dog today with a 3 generation ped only today is just wrong to me, but then again this is all just my opinion. have fun with your dogs, gary fuller
