What is an OSW?
What is a White English?
Differences?
---------
They are two different names for the same thing.
The Easiest way to put it is
Dogs with out the Modern day influence of
JdJ or the Modern Performance Dogs from out west.
IMO the AB started as a WE/OSW and was out crossed and selected into another breed.
I wonder how many Southern Farmers have a use
for a Sch/Sport dog?
This might help you.

That is if you can keep an open mind and realize there are a few of us out there that like what they started out as, more then what they have become..
You are entitled to your believes as We are.
I have said a Number of times on this board,
What Makes them Pure is having a recorded Number of Generations bred as a family of dogs. That Produce type, in structure ,Pheno type as well as temperament.
Work ethic is Important but is not a sign of Purity. Most Crosses of Different Breeds can/will work.
Example: a German Short haired Pointer/Brittany Spaniel will find and point birds. But its not a Pure breed.
A Pit Bull/Bulldog cross will Catch. etc....
Having No Idea what's behind a dog is a clear way to produce things you might not necessarily want.
It adds more surprises to a already Hard Breed of dog to produce.
Selection over the years breeds away from Impurity. That's not something you always get from a $50.00 white dog of Unknown heritage..
I hope you were asking as a Question and not to provoke Argument..
Sincerely
Ralph C
