coming from years of raising dobermans...ears should not be done any later than 12-14 weeks old. the older the pup, the harder to get ears to stand.
i have two ab's that are cropped and docked...both had ears done at 13 wks...candy had her tail done at a year old and it affected her balance for about a month. peyton had his tail done at 13 weeks (same time as ears) and he hasnt skipped a beat. as for the tail, the older the dog the chance of problems increase (they are cutting the spine).
younger the better.
show ring....lmao...they HATE it in the ring to see the cropped ears....the tail is easier to swallow...however, they hate it more when they place candy first even cropped and docked she's better than most
i heart cosmetic faults...and my dogs are still better than yours...I LOVE MY TSHIRT!!
