Thanks for the compliment Ralph as I certainly appreciate critical feedback.
Your are correct about the standard deviation being goobledok.
Lets look at this issue from a human perspective.
Genetic testing is available to determine the vulnerabilities to inherit diseases. Even though their are 1,200 tests available, their application is rare.
For example, few people that I know use this screenig prior to having children.
Just my two cents.
