Unfortunbately, asymptomatic or symptomatic is relative to a dogs age. As the condition progresses hip dysplaia forms bone spurs, and joints become arthritic.
I agree with your assessment that if HD is occurrring in a population, it will continue to occur at pretty much the same rate, regardless of the parents hip structure. That is the problem. I am asking how to eradicate from the population?
