to me raph its still a mess lol. i do think that by breeding dogs with good hips to dogs with good hips that you should eventually get mainly good hips at some point in time. the problem is... what is good hips,lol. as you stated i think a dog that dont break down , or ofa or pennhip or a ortho vets opinion.which of those things makes good hips lol, i do think using hip cerification can help to get better hips consistantly but at times i do really wonder. i mean to me sam didnt have bad hips as he was worked hard weekly for several years till over 9 yrs of age and it seemed the cancer got to him before his hips went. and he failed ofa and pennhip, so again clear as mud to me,lol gary
