Not to hijack this thread or to argue with you but I had many years of experience with Pit Bulls. Many breeders in NJ and up and down the east coast will disagree on the best coming from the west and Texas. Good dogs are where you find them there are good breeders in different parts of the country. As for breeding best to best this usually produces a scatter breed line because as described you breed best to best that is your breeding plan not breeding a line / family.
