Woody had a tremendous effect on the modern day AB. I saw films of him and for a pure Johnson dog he did move pretty well. I believe he was out of Johnson's Machine line. He lived about ten years and this was because Kyle kept him very lean. Mr. Johnson said he was ten pounds underweight. Johson bred Woody and rated him a "pretty good dog", meaning in his mind, he produced better. I don't know what kind of heat tolerance Woody had. Would have loved to have seen him in high humidity of Tampa bay where I used to live.
