I guess the point is if your dog isn't trained he may or may not help you. Unless it happens you wouldn't know. I had a dog that I thought would protect me. On two different occasions I got into a fight (I was 16) one fight he went after the person the second fight he did nothing. The sad thing the time he did nothing I was getting my ass kicked. I guess he thought I deserved it
