I like detecting old school sites, Used to be that's about all I did until I discovered older settlements.
Today, I found out the year of the reale made into a button. It's the only one made of that year and it's an 1843 1/4 reale, I'll post what it should look like from one I found on eBay.
You're right, Allot of good detectors out there and the baron still hangs in in there with them
