George is quite right in what he says. Removal and reinstallation of chips is where the damage occurs. Once a chip is determined to function correctly, there is nothing internal that will change. Chips should never be removed without the proper tool which is peculiar to this type of design. BTW these can be obtained from Mouser Electronis. Expect to receive a 2 1/2 thick catalog which is issued quarterly if you order product from them!
