Detected two areas the past week, With a couple of friends we detected an old area which had allot of traffic between 1820-1870's. Mostly buttons have been surfacing but they are old ones.
Starting off with the first picture below are my better finds from an 1820-30 adobe site, Luckily the 1808 popped up almost at the end of the hunt.
Here's the back side of the 1808 coin, Had it anymore wear the date would have been hard to pull. Maybe dropped between 1830's - 1850's.
Still fresh in the hole, First time daylight lays a coat of warmth on the 200 year coin.
Pictured above is another recent find (2-cent piece) from a different area, An old Ferry crossing. She really needs a bath, That crud don't come off too easily
