Here are my recent finds made the past few days, Managed to find another silver coin made into a button. In this case an 1869 seated 1/2 dime was used, And a couple of days later dug up the antique ladies gold ring and an Officers General Staff button not too far from the seated 1/2 dime button.
The ladies gold ring is gold and not gold plated, It's a mess and needs a good scrub to take off the crud.
Pictured above is the back side of the seated 1/2 dime, Note part of the button shank.
