I'm not an expert with the all the details on the black sand module and if I make an error hope someone jumps in and corrects me.
From what I gathered, The Black sand module is for disc mode. And if I'm passing wrong info here hope someone here jumps in.
Yes, it will reduce chatter in trashy areas and you will lose depth. Not that it matters since trashy areas the masking effect takes reduces depth so I can't see it losing any more.
