Went to that small dam site again but with the PH instead. I dug a few small square nails right as you are standing above the stonework. The small pottery fragment came out with a nail. It is crackle finish, no idea on age.
Started out more towards the RR tracks and dug the dome top insulator. 50 yards away I dug the open top insulator with a lanyard type thing, with the bizarre crimped piece. If you could see that crimp, you would wonder how it was ever made. There was a broken dometop with the open one, as well as that round thing that sort of looks like the wire ring on a RR hand-held lantern??
The small D buckle was 30 yards up stream from the dam. 22 long casing also. last week found the other part of it
The PH runs so sweet there; I find it more stable than the E-class on that area.
I've never seen an open top insulator...that I can recall
Spring arrived today...Warmest day so far since last autumn. Yea, my feet were warm for the first time this year!
