The F-75 is getting a lot of press, mostly raves, but it still has people talking about the acceptance of bottlecaps.
I took one I found laying on the ground home that read 90 on the F-75 and buried it 4" deep. Then I tested the following machines against it; Gti-2000, C$, CZ, F-75 and the Baron. Every detector accepted it as good most of the time. I could not figure out why I was getting audio on my Baron Cointrax-1 chip and checked to find the disc control was fully clockwise, and I had it programmed to accept iron, instead of reject it like the others-it read the cap as pulltab 3/4 of the time.
I notched iron out, turned disc fully c.clockwise and then tried it. Now it identified iron on the meter, and went dead silent scanned from every direction.
The only detector to pass with FLYING COLORS. Now I'm sure I'll encounter situations where it may not be as mentioned above 100% but it will still get me best disc characteristics [in my ground]
than anything else I've used. [I've hit caps with a sovereign in the past also.]
I think we all know who the best engineer is when it comes to detectors.
