I just found and used isopropyl contact cleaner in a pressurised can and using the little pinpointer pipe that fits in the aerosol, blasted the back of the switches and worked them a few times too and then repeated ... Will let you know if it helps...
I had to re-solder the switch anyway as the wires to the switch had become detached from the board... Gone to a dry joint. re-assembling now.. 
Quick point of interest my switches are above the line of LED's (They sit on the side of the board with the solder cutoffs..) and all the illustrations show the switches for the cointrax below the LED's on the board..
Mines upside down !! Its like they re-thought the layout part way through making it.
