Tried something different this early evening, For the longest time wanted to mount the Baron housing onto an old style Compass handle and since the Compass handle is already painted Gold it would match the gold colored Goldtrax housing.
Although the Baron in the picture is mounted securely, it is a temporary mount until I can make a bracket that will slip in between the Baron brackets using the same button spring type attachments which will lower the housing about an inch more as shown in the picture. Currently it's resting on top of the stock Compass bracket with plastic clamp ties securing the housing, Already it has a sight less top heavy feel because the back end of the housing is lower than the standard Baron mount.
Anyways, I post a new picture once I make a different bracket within the week that will easily accept any of the Baron housings.
Here's a close up pic of the experimental setup, I like the feel and the face plate kind of tilts in an upward direction.
Regular CoinTrax setup and experimental GoldTrax setup for comparison, About the same weight.
