There's a large grassy area north of the community center the city uses as a parking space for RV's when the yearly Railroad Festival is going on, which is happening now, but it had a house on it until the early 1970's. Only 2 RV's left so I took the A&S with 5.5 coil and hunted the area where the house was. Figured I'd at least get a few clad but the only clad was one dime, did get two 1944 wheaties, a sterling silver pendant type thing, a 1942 Australian sixpence and 24 memorial pennies. 20 of the pennies were in an area less than a foot in diameter and were from about an inch deep for the shallowest to 4 inches for the deepest. Odd. From the signal they gave, I could lift the coil knee high and still get a response, I initially thought they were one big target but retuning in pinpoint mode showed some separation. The wheaties were only an inch or so down and in the best condition of any wheates I've dug, the only cleaning was brushing them with a soft toothbrush while running water on them. The sixpence was maybe three inches down and the silver pendant was the deepest good target dug at just about 5 inches. The sixpence has some silver content but don't think as much as our pre clad silver coins.
Lots of nails and other iron things in the ground, dug a few before I got the A$S set for the site conditions.
