The photo at top left is under the bleachers at the football stadium. It was the concession stand until a new one was built and now it's used to sell programs, flags and other football related stuff. The gavel is full of rusty 3/8 inch bolts that were cut and allowed to fall when the wooden bleaches were replaced with aluminum a few years ago. The top right photo shows some of them. There's so many the Barons are useless, even with the 5.5 coils, as was the Golden which never stopped giving the overload signal. I put the 4 inch coil on the 1650 and got a few coins, in the bottom of the photo, and also a bunch of that type screws and lead pieces that were on the heads of nails.
When I got home I took the old Garrett Master Hunter 7 out for awhile. First time I've used it except with the two box in probably 10 years or longer but still works great. I found the coins in the photo at right, about $2.50, in less than an hour with it but I was more than ready to quit using it by then. Depth in disc mode is actually about the same as the Golden gets on dimes and quarters, maybe a tad more, but the all metal mode really goes deep for a 20+ year old detector. I would hate to go back to using that style pole configuration but I could probably get by with it if I had to
