After I made the post in the thread below I ran a few errands, then put the 10 inch "Thunderhead" coil on the Cointrax and hunted the grassy area used for parking at the horseshow and rodeo place for a little over an hour. 1956 roosie is only fourth silver coin I've found there. The big ring thing was just about a foot deep, the ID was jumping between half and dollar and I was sure I had a goodun'. The piece of a ring is silver and was just under the grass, probably cut with a mower. Looks as though the top was made from a Chinese Panda coin, or a fake one. The inside has a building and a 1983 date. Only the third or fourth time I've used the big coil, but should use it more as it works extremely well. It also pinpoints better than any large coil I've used. Didn't find anything the 8 inch coil wouldn't have got but I covered a lot more ground than I would have with the smaller coil
