I'm sorry to bother you all again but I'm on a mission to learn everything I can about this. I have a modular Baron with Cointrax module and a 2.2 chip.
I'm setting the motion standard discrimination level to reject iron, foil, and screw caps. I then back off the discrimination knob (switched to iron reject) to just barely accept modern pull tabs, which is about 25% clockwise. I noticed that I had the ground/salt switch set to salt (right position). When I switched it to the left the knob barely started to reject the pull tab at full clockwise.
According to the base Baron manual this switch is only used with the Pro Hunter Module and has no effect otherwise. Exactly what does this switch do and is OK to leave it in salt mode, giving me the adjustment range I need?
Thanks!
DG
