We've had rain here every day this month so far, plus it's been cold enough there were snow flurries mixed in a couple of days. It slowed down to a sprinkle early this morning, and completely stopped before noon, so I took the A&S/5.5 coil out for a while. Water everywhere, ground so soft water squishes out with every step, and I quit after digging the wheatie and 1965 dime but at least I got out. Made for easy, but messy, digging though. One benefit is that when the ground is this wet here detectors go quite a bit deeper here than they do when it's dry. Both coins were deep enough the A&S might not have got them with the small coil in dry ground. Not much, but as long as it's been since I could detect I would have settled for a couple of corroded zincs
