74 degrees today with more rain. It stopped for a couple of hours and I got in a few minutes detecting before a family Christmas get together. I hunted along the edge of a blacktop street, so I wouldn't have to wade the wet grass and water, and got a few pennies. All pre zincs, and 6 inches under the edge of the blacktop a 53 wheatie that I had to use a hatchet and a big screwdriver to recover. I've found a lot of wheaties this year, don't know exactly how many but it's gotta be more than in any year since the 1980's. It's pouring rain now, cold front moving in that's supposed to bring in mid teen temps the next couple of nights, and then more rain in forecast. Don't remember ever having as much rain in December as we've had this year.
