That switch has no effect on the Cointrax module. It's used to toggle between preset ground balance and manual ground balance on the Prohunter module and auto tracking ground balance and preset ground balance on the Goldtrax. If I remember right George said it's primarily for salt conditions where the manual or auto ground balance doesn't have enough range to balance out the salt. As you can see in the photos, the Goldtrax it's labeled Track and Preset and on the Prohunter it's labeled GND and Salt. There's no label on the Cointrax because it isn't used.
