We had a warm week, most of the snow melted and the ground is thawing quickly.
Grabbed my Baron only to discover I had taken out the batteries for the winter and my kids had depleted my stash of new AA's
My CZ had batteries in it so I threw that in the truck and headed for the farm fields.
Spent a couple of hours looking for a new site but couldnt find the exact location of an old one room school, so I headed to a couple of fields that I have hunted already.
Both sites were old one room school that had produced a few finds so I hoped I could dig up a couple more
Found this mangled silver ring missing its stone, its marked 'sterling' and looks old
Dug a couple of buttons
Not sure if this is a scout button or not, it has a pin thru the shank to hold it on
These medallions were given to every school kid in 1927, 60 years of confederation. They are twice the thickness of a coin and bigger than a quarter
Heres the coins for the day. The wheaties are 1912 and 1919, the British Farthing is 1919 and the silver dime is 1910
Fun first hunt, now I just have to restock my battery supply so I can use the Baron
