I found the badly corroded coin, or whatever it is, with the A&S at the same place I found the WWI spur and 1941 Nazi coin I posted about not long ago. It has what looks like a 10 on one side, and probably is but the 0 doesn't look right and the 1 seems to continue to the right at a 45 degree angle. It has what looks like foreign writing around the edge but it's in such bad condition it's impossible to tell. It reads zinc on the Cointrax and Garrett meters, and has a hole through it that looks like it was made by a square nail. The other side has what looks like 1751 on it in the photo, but that's evidently just the flash reflecting off of corrosion as it's not visible just looking at it, even through a magnifier. The little .925 silver thing was eyeballed at the school when my wife and I were using the walking track.
