Hadn't been detecting since the last day of April because of the rain and storms (it's storming and raining again right now) so late this afternoon I slipped off to the school down the street for a few minutes. First signal was the 1956 wheatie in the photo that's still shiny. It was barely covered with sand, very wet sand, and was probably lost yesterday since that's the only day it hasn't rained in almost two weeks. I eyeballed a 1922d wheatie several years ago that wasn't more than 15 feet from where I got the one today.
