Something I thought I would pass along to keep the interest going on the Barons. 
By adding a toggle switch accross these 2 solder points, one can set the discrimination control to act like a discrimination control on most other detectors.
In one position the Baron will discriminate like it allways does, low, mid, and high tone. The other way on the switch, you would not hear anything that is discriminated out.
