The park and rec equipment building the guys work out of what was a recreation center at one time, the tennis courts are maybe 40 yards north of it, a small park with a tot lot just west of it and it has three baseball fields and the football field within a couple of hundred yards. It also has several grassy and gravel/slag parking areas around it, two soccer fields and the high school just across the drives from it. There are a lot of coins lost around there, especially when kids are in school. The Photo below shows most of the area. The park and rec equipment building the guys work out of is marked with the red cross. The two park and rec guys detect one or more of those places for 45 minutes to an hour or longer almost every day except on weekends, but leave way more than they find. Both think they are really good with their detectors, but they use pendulum swings with their coils close to a foot off the ground at each end of a swing and also leave big gaps between swings.
I got 6 silver dimes, several wheaties and a lot of newer coins right behind the park and rec building last year. They said they had already hunted there, but except for one of the silver dimes the other coins were less that four inches deep. Today, while waiting on them to knock off work, I hunted for maybe 20 minutes right where both were detecting yesterday when I went by. Together they got 7 coins total, I got 8 dimes and 7 pennies that were barely under the surface of the ground. They're both nice guys, one is a cousin of mine, but no way will they ever find a coin much over a couple of inches deep unless they change their ways. But I'm not telling them
