Good news for me yesterday, as my son found my missing MD digging tool in the house. He thought maybe it was lost outside when he was digging fishing worms last year 
I made it out of a ford leaf spring and it is great on roots, frozen ground and prying things.
We've lost/misplaced so many things in our many moves since 02, and I am glad to have it back....now I need to go dig something with it.
I did get out a couple of times but found deep lead, bird bands etc.
