Evidently not a lot of the A&S Specials were sold, at least by that name, but the Kellyco Cobra II is exactly the same detector except for the color of the housing and decals. The A&S I have has become my main detector for coin hunting, which is just about all I do now. Mine has pots with external knobs for ground balance and threshold and while it's not as deep as the Cointrax it goes deep. Even with the 5.5 inch coil dimes at 7+ inches are no problem in my mild ground. When I use the notch to go with the tones I have a higher coins to trash ratio than with any metered detector I've used except possibly the SST, and also any non metered detector except maybe the Golden µMax. I still like the Cointrax for deep hunting, and the Goldtrax for jewelry and all around hunting but the A&S is Special
