The A&S/Cobra II's are similar in operation to the Golden Sabre's, and has similar audio. I had two Golden Sabre II's, at different times, back in the late 1990's, and enjoyed using them, but the depth isn't close to what the A&S/Cobra II's will get in my ground, even with the 5.5 inch coil on the A&S compared with the 8 inch on the Golden Sabre II's. The depth of my A&S is closer to the Tejons than the Golden Sabres. I hunted alongside a friend using a Tejon with the A&S with stock coils on both and when either of us got a deep signal we would check it with both detectors, neither detector got a signal the other wouldn't get except for quite a few hot rocks the Tejon hit on.
