When I said the A&S is closer to the Tejon than the Golden Sabre I was talking about the performance, depth and sensiivity to small, low conductive targets in particular. The hot rocks I was referring to are rocks that have magnetic properties. If the sensitivity is too high, or the ground balance too negative, they give signals like a nonferrous target, and seem to affect detectors with transmit frequencies higher than 10 to 12 khz a lot more here than lower frequency detectors. My X5 would nail them unless I set the ground balance from about 3/4 to a full turn more positive than a neutral balance. The Tejon I was talking about wouldn't reject the hot rocks, even with the ground balance a little positive.
