I agree about the CZ's. I was a diehard CZ user when I got my Cointrax and they worked well here. The depth of the CZ's I had at the time was basically the same the original Cointrax would get, maybe a half inch more on higher conductive coins but the Cointrax had the edge on nickels and lower conductive stuff. I kept the Cointrax because the CZ's read downscale on deep targets, both audio and on the meter. I've posted before about letting a friend use my 10 inch coil on his CZ-5 while relic hunting and having me check a signal that was giving an iron to tab bounce on his CZ, both meter and audio. He had me check it with the Cointrax, it locked on Zinc and gave the high tone. He said it was iron, I said it was either a .58 minie or.69 round ball. I was right, it was a .58 minie just about a foot down under a big root. That was a big factor in my decision to go with the Barons.
