I used one a couple of times on my Cointrax. At an old church site I dug brass ends from shotgun hulls at a foot or more, and a horseshoe that was around two feet down while using the DH with a 10 inch coil. Didn't find anything good any deeper with it than I've found without it, but only because I didn't swing the coil over a good target. I let the DH module go because the extra weight was a little more than an old geriatric like myself can handle for more than a few minutes at a time, but if I were a few years younger and less arthritic I would have kept it as there's no question it adds depth. I'm pretty sure that Kevin sometimes uses a DH module with his ProHunter so he can probably tell you more than I can about how they work.
